Take a trip to Abersoch

Spend the day or evening in gorgeous Abersoch. We are 19 minutes away from this popular town. Abersoch is perfectly positioned on the south east corner of the LlÅ·n Peninsula, with sandy beaches facing across Cardigan Bay to the west coast of Wales & Snowdonia. The village has an abundance of great shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and there’s always a superb atmosphere. 

Visit the lovely beaches

There are plenty of beaches to choose from on the Llyn Peninsula, with one to suit everybody’s tastes.

 

Take a stroll on the calm Llanbedrog beach or try sailing on Abersoch’s main beach. Porth Neigwl Beach, also known as Hell's Mouth, is famous for its good waves that attract thousands of surfers every year. 

 

There is the picturesque, sandy Aberdaron Beach, or the interesting Porth Oer Beach, known as Whistling Sands for the ‘squeak’ under your feet on dry sand, just above the high tide mark!

 

Traeth Penllech is a gorgeous long beach, with Porth Towyn Beach, Port Nefyn Beach and Porth Dinllaen Beach also worth a visit.

Surfing and watersports

If you are a sporty person, the LlÅ·n Peninsula has much to offer – surfing, kayaking, scuba diving, paddle boarding, white water rafting, sailing, fishing and body boarding are all within easy reach of Llyn Seaview Stays. You will need to go home for a rest!

The Llyn offers a number of Public Slipways, with many requiring a launching fee to be paid. All power boats, including jet skis, are required to be registered with Gwynedd County Council before using authorised slipways or access points.

Go for a walk on the Llyn Coastal Path

The LlÅ·n Coastal Path is a route around the edge of Wales' lovely LlÅ·n Peninsula, a designated 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. Discover the best of this wild, scenic area with dedicated hiking routes, as Llyn Seaview Stays is 15 minutes from a starting point in Morfa Nefyn.

Go on a boat trip to Bardsey Island

Bardsey Island is a wild Welsh island located 2 miles off the LlÅ·n Peninsula. It is open for visitors from March until October. Day trips are available with the Bardsey Island Trust. 

 

With a rich wildlife, dramatic coastline and fascinating history, there is plenty to discover from a day trip to this unique island. 

 

It has recently received International Dark Sky Sanctuary certification by the International Dark Skies Association (IDA). This makes it the first site in Europe to achieve this status.

 

The island is designated a National Nature Reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is in the LlÅ·n Peninsula Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

 

The island is also of international importance and has been listed as a Special Area of Conservation for its habitats and species as well as a Special Protection Area because of the breeding birds. 

Tee off at a golf course

Abersoch is a hidden golfing gem nestling behind ancient sand dunes. This 18-hole course has a mixture of both links and parkland with many testing holes and wonderful views overlooking Cardigan Bay and the Snowdonia mountain range.

Set on the south facing coastline of the spectacular Cardigan Bay, Clwb Golff Pwllheli is one of the finest 18-hole golf courses in North Wales, too.

 

 Nefyn and District Golf Club, offers perhaps one of the most picturesque settings for a round of golf in North Wales.. From the 12th hole onwards, be ready to play in stunning cliff-top locations. The closing holes along the peninsula are spectacular, so there will always be something to remember, regardless of your score.

Watch a show at Plas Glyn y Weddw

One of Wales' most charming & oldest art venues, Plas Glyny Weddw is a gothic styled mansion built in 1857. The exhibition changes every 6 to 8 weeks. During the summer months a varied programme of concerts, theatrical performances and open air cinema is held in this lovely outdoor theatre, which has the capacity to hold an audience of 250 people.

Explore Snowdonia (Eryri)

Covering a total of 823 square miles, Snowdonia, or Eryri, is the largest National Park in Wales. Llyn Seaview Stays is 45 minutes away from Snowdonia.
